Rolf Bartkiewicz

          He was born in Brandenburg (Germany). As a student of secondary school of music he played in a symphony orchestra in Kalisz. He graduated from the Music Academy in Lodz in the flute class, he won the International Flute Competition in Wloszakowice. He perfected his skills in college in Switzerland in the concert class of prof. Peter Lucas Graf. After returning home he started a career as a soloist, I-st Carpathian Philharmonic flutist, which continues to this day. He spent 1986 in Lodz, where he played in the local Philharmonic of Lodz. He Also cooperated with the Lodz Radio Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra of Lvov and the majority of Polish symphony and chamber orchestras. In 1992 he moved to Cairo, where he worked as first flutist with the National Orchestra of Egypt. Then he founded a chamber music trio "The New Bartoldy Ensemble", with which he performed in Egypt.
Rolf Bartkiewicz is an outstanding flautist, concertmaster and soloist virtuoso endowed with special talent. His repertoire includes most of the best flute concerts, so with classical and contemporary music. He records for radio and TV. As a soloist, chamber and orchestral musician he has performed in almost all countries of Western Europe, Czechoslovakia, the former Soviet republics, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Taiwan, Mexico, Brazil, USA, Egypt and South Korea. Rolf Bartkiewicz is a musician who is able to charm his audience with his playing, man full of charm and humor, great culture and quiet elegance.

He graduated from Technical School of Mechanical Pianos in Kalisz. He worked in factories of pianos in Poland (Calisia), Germany (Bluthner) and the Czech Republic (Petrof). Two years he worked in the largest Swiss piano factory - Piano-Haus - he repaired and sold instruments, and in the piano-Stein Company in Basel. Since 25 years he runs his own business.
